Charelle Obeng is the founder of Purposeful Daughters.

She is a young wife and mother who was born & raised in the UK. Growing up, she was not raised in the church so for many years, she did not know God. She actively lived a life filled with sin and as a result of this, she had a very messy life which caused her a lot of deep-rooted pain.

In 2015, after a series of God-ordained circumstances, she started a journey of reading God’s word and began to desire to want to know Him more. Over the next few months, as she continued to seek God, she decided that enough was enough. She no longer wanted to live a life of sin any longer; she truly desired to walk free from it all.  So on 15th May 2016, she completely gave her life to Christ.

After Charelle gave her life to Christ, she still continued to live in brokenness. She continued to experience shame & pain that prevented her from fulfilling her God-given purpose. But three years later, after much healing, Charelle began to walk in her God-given purpose and Purposeful Daughters began.

The mission of Purposeful Daughters is to help women overcome anything that is stopping them from fulfilling their God-given purpose. Through sharing The Word, creating gospel-centred tools and sharing daily devotionals, we aim to encourage and equip women to live a purposeful life that truly honours God.

Charelle hopes to create a community where like minded women can support and inspire each other.

We believe that God is the Creator of all things in existence. We believe He always has been and always will be, the One, True and Holy Uncreated God. We believe that He is one God made up of three persons, referred to as the Trinity: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We believe that God is omnipresent (all-present), omniscient (all-knowing) , and omnipotent (all-powerful). Everything in the universe is rightfully His. We believe Holiness to be God’s standard of living for His people.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father, concieved of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life on earth being both fully God and fully man.We believe that Jesus is the promised Messiah and He died on the cross, taking on our sin and punishment, so that we could have new life and a right relationship with God. After dying on the cross and being buried, He rose from the dead in victory three days later. We believe that Jesus ascended to heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father as our Mediator, and will one day come again to rule His Kingdom and judge the living and the dead.

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. After Jesus ascended into Heaven, God sent the Holy Spirit to be our counselor, comforter, and keeper. We believe that the Holy Spirit lives inside those who belong to God convicting us of our sins, and equipping us to live a life that truly honours Him.

We believe the 66 books of the Bible, Old and New Testament, are the infallible Word of God. It is without error, never changes and fully sufficient for understanding our salvation and living out our faith. We believe that as believers, we should build our life upon the Word of God. Therefore, we believe that reading, studying and meditating on the Bible daily is essential for every believer.

We believe in the Biblical definition of salvation. That is, deliverance, by the grace of God, from eternal punishment for sin and from being seperated from Him.  We believe that salvation is only through Jesus Christ. We are saved by grace through faith, not by our own good works but through the atoining blood of Jesus Christ. We believe that our salvation is necessary because of the holy and just nature of God, who rightfully hates sin and the destruction it causes. We believe that all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God therefore salvation is necessary for all. We believe that true faith and salvation reveals itself in a life of fruitfulness.

We believe that The Church is defined as the body of Christ. It is not a place or a building but rather a body of believers. Every person who accepts Jesus as their Lord and Savior becomes part of this body. We believe that all believers should seek regular fellowship, exhortation, and teaching from brothers and sisters in the faith. We believe the Church’s mission is to go and make disciples and share the good news of the Gospel with all people and nations, according to the command of Jesus in Matthew 28:19-20 and Mark 16:15.

We believe that marriage was created by God at the beginning of time, between one man and one woman – a union of harmony, love, and submission. We believe marriage is a life-long covenant that should be held in honor by all. It is an earthly reflection of Christ and the Church  We believe that the wife should love and submit to her husband as the church loves and submits to Christ. And that the husband should love his wife as Christ laid down His life for the church. We believe that the marriage bed is sacred and that sex is a gift of God between a husband and wife in the confines of marriage. We believe that children are an undeserved blessing from God and that they should be raised to love and fear the Lord.
